Meet Lisa Toma,

The Heart Behind This Is Healing

Meet Lisa Toma, Founder of This Is Healing

Lisa Toma is the founder and visionary behind This Is Healing, a space created to guide others out of survival mode and back into the safety, freedom, and peace their bodies have always longed for. Her work is born not only from years of professional study, but also from a very personal journey of loss, resilience, and reclamation.

When Lisa was a teenager, her mother’s life was taken by domestic violence. This early experience shaped her understanding of trauma in profound ways. It gave her a deep, embodied knowing of what it means to live with a nervous system that has been overwhelmed by pain, fear, and instability — and it fueled her determination to dedicate her life to helping others find their way home to themselves.

First and foremost, Lisa is a Nervous System Practitioner and Trauma Practitioner, trained to help people safely release survival responses and reconnect with the felt sense of regulation in their bodies. She is also certified in Children and Youth Mental Health, bringing important insight into how early experiences shape our nervous system patterns and self-worth. In addition, she holds certifications as a life coach, meditation teacher, yoga instructor, integrative trauma coach, quantum healing practitioner, and more— all of which weave together into a unique and holistic approach to healing.

Through This Is Healing, Lisa offers more than sessions or classes; she offers an experience of being seen, understood, and gently guided into safety. Her work combines nervous system regulation, somatic practices, trauma release, inner child healing, and emotional integration in ways that help people untangle from the weight of their past and step into the freedom of the present.

Her clients describe her as compassionate, intuitive, and grounded — someone who carries the wisdom of her own lived experience while holding space with deep professionalism. Lisa’s presence invites people to soften, to exhale, and to finally remember who they are beyond their pain.

At the core of her mission is a simple truth: healing is possible. With the right tools, the right guidance, and a safe place to land, every nervous system can learn to shift from survival into regulation, and every person can reclaim the wholeness that has always been within them.
